The green new deal requires a transformed foreign policy. Fundamental to this must be a reshaped international political economy, challenging the power of the Petrodollar - and the UK’s role in its circulation - to drive a just transition and end the power of repressive fossil fuel states.

Through an investigation of UK foreign policy and the disastrous effects of the petrodollar, this report calls for a retraining of defence industry workers to prepare them for green sectors, as well as a restructuring of Western foreign policy frameworks.
