About the role
Financial administration
Organising, formatting, and submitting for approval all receipts and invoices.
Purchases and ordering of e.g. books, office equipment, etc.
Operational and team support
Organising internal and external events and meetings, including scheduling, booking, and note-taking as needed.
Travel bookings.
Scheduling and diary management.
Board support including scheduling meetings, circulating agenda and materials, note taking, etc.
Support for the production team with e.g. posting prepared content to our website or social media.
Administrative support for recruitment, new starters, and leavers.
Ad-hoc team support including PA support for senior staff.
Common Wealth is a small organisation, so from time to time there will be a requirement to undertake tasks across different areas in the organisation.
Person specification
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Experience in administrative roles, preferably in finance, operations, or team support.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Outlook. Knowledge of Xero, Webflow, and/or social media would be a plus.
Familiarity with basic financial processes, such as handling receipts, invoices, and simple procurement.
Experience coordinating events, meetings, or travel arrangements.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling documents, schedules, or correspondence.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with note-taking and preparing professional correspondence.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Interest in contributing to a mission-driven, progressive organisation.
