About the role

Financial administration

  • Organising, formatting, and submitting for approval all receipts and invoices.
  • Purchases and ordering of e.g. books, office equipment, etc.

Operational and team support

  • Organising internal and external events and meetings, including scheduling, booking, and note-taking as needed.
  • Travel bookings.
  • Scheduling and diary management.
  • Board support including scheduling meetings, circulating agenda and materials, note taking, etc.
  • Support for the production team with e.g. posting prepared content to our website or social media.
  • Administrative support for recruitment, new starters, and leavers.
  • Ad-hoc team support including PA support for senior staff.

Common Wealth is a small organisation, so from time to time there will be a requirement to undertake tasks across different areas in the organisation.

Person specification

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Experience in administrative roles, preferably in finance, operations, or team support.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Outlook. Knowledge of Xero, Webflow, and/or social media would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic financial processes, such as handling receipts, invoices, and simple procurement.
  • Experience coordinating events, meetings, or travel arrangements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling documents, schedules, or correspondence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with note-taking and preparing professional correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Interest in contributing to a mission-driven, progressive organisation.
